2018 OCEANIA SWIMMING CHAMPS UNDERWAY

The 12th Oceania Swimming Championships in Port Moresby Papua New Guinea opened to a cultural captivating ceremony last night (25/06/2018).

James Kado one of the youngest member on the team was the Fiji Swim Teams flag bearer.

The beautiful traditional dances were performed by five different traditional tribal groups which drew loud applause and cheers from the swim teams. A spectacular firework and the traditional dancing marked a joyous opening ceremony.

The 50m fly, 200m breast, 200m free, 100m breast, 1500m free, 4x50m mixed free relay and 4x100m mixed medley relay heats will be contested today. Click here, to view the full competition schedule.
