After the very successful performances at the 2019 Pacific Games in Apia, and an unparalleled tour to the historical 2019 FINA Worlds Long Course (LC) Championships in Gwangju, Korea, the Federation is excited go back to the drawing board, starting with this Grand Prix 1 in Nadi.

One of the positives from entering  into these competitions on regional and world platforms, is the insight it provides to the standards and benchmarks. It enables us to now measure ourselves on that scale.  Following these big events, where Fiji was proudly represented, clubs, coaches and swimmers are re-visiting training plans and goals and modifying where needed, to develop our athletes to reach their full potential.

Fiji Swimming has a strong focus to develop our elite athletes. However, there is also a resilient team driving a development plan to see that our young ones are provided the support and opportunities to learn the fundamentals and skills and become prepared for the elite athlete development pathway when they come of age.
