With the XVI Pacific Games in Samoa hovering just over the horizon, the national squad to represent Fiji in the sport of swimming are making their final checks in preparation for the international meet. The squad, consisting of a final fourteen swimmers drawn from a larger provisional squad announced in January, have undergone a season of intense training under the tutelage of Head Coach Sharon Smith in preparation for the Games. The swimmers are accompanied by a core team of five officials who are set to leave for Apia on the 3rd of July in time it’s start on the 7th of July. We wish them all the very best in their races.
