Dear Fiji Swimming Families and Friends,
Further to the Hon. Prime Minister Address to the nation on Monday 16th March and subsequent statements from Government regarding the Covid-19 virus (Coronavirus),
Fiji Swimming Executives have made the following decisions relating to our LC Grand Prix’s, Easter Championships, LC National AGE GROUP Championship and the Oceania Swimming Championships events over the coming months keeping the safety and well-being of our swimming families the priority of our decision making process:
- LC GP3: Cancelled.
- Easter Championships: Cancelled.
- LC Age Group Nationals: Cancelled
- Oceania Swimming Championships: Cancelled
Note: The FINA Swimming Technical Officials Clinic to be held prior to the championships will be cancelled. - Fiji Schools Nationals Championships: Awaiting advise by Fiji Schools Swimming Association President.
We understand the impact that the above decisions will have on many of you that have been training and planning to race over the coming months but, we are in unprecedented times requiring unprecedented decisions. The safety and well-being of our swimming families and friends come first. Please stay safe and healthy.
