SWIMMING ADDS 2 SILVERS AND 2 BRONZE TO THE TEAM FIJI MEDAL TALLY ON DAY 4

Mrs Trisa-Cheer Dunn of Fiji on the Technical Officials team this evening as Meet Referee for the session.

Fiji Swimming completes Day 4 of swimming at the Samoa Aquatic Center with outstanding results. Congratulations Team Fiji for winning:

  • 1 x Silver from Matelita Buadromo in the 200IM
  • 1 x Silver from the 4x50m Freestyle Mixed relay team made up of Cheyenne Rova, Yolani Blake, Netani Ross and Epeli Rabua.
  • 1 x Bronze medal from Taichi Vakasama who came in third in the men’s 200 IM final and,
  • 1 x Bronze medal Matelita Buadromo winning the second bronze medal in the womens 100m freestyle final.

After 3 days of competition, going into Day 4 comes with a different set of challenges compared to Day 1. The body is at another level of physical strength, and continuing to perform consistently is a reflection of the long training hours put in by these athletes.

Definitely great swims from everyone today and we look forward to the last day of competition tomorrow.  Go Team Fiji Go!
